Schoolgirl Zombie Handmade Card

 

Halloween is just around the corner and it is time for cards that feature ghosts, witches, and zombies.

This card features the digital stamp/sentiment "Schoolgirl Zombie" from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and die-cut the sentiment. The background is "Foggy Night" digital paper that comes with the Crow's Roost digital stamp.

This girl and sentiment could really be used for many different occasions, but it is perfect for a Halloween card.

Handmade Cheer Baby Card

This card is full of cheer and positivity. It would be appropriate for many different occasions and for all ages.

This card features the digital stamp/sentiment "Cheer Baby" from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and highlighted the pompons with a white Posca pen. I then cut out the image with a circle die.

The double-sided background paper is from the "Candy Confetti" paper pad by The Paper Studio.

The finished card is mounted on a kraft card base that measures 5" by 6.5"

Handmade Bee Kind Cheerleader Card

 

This handmade card features the retiring digital stamp "gimme a bee" designed by Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil.

I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and cut it out with a circle die.
I chose a double-sided paper for the background from the "Candy Confetti" pad by The Paper Studio. 

The sentiment is from the "Bee Well" Framelits set by Sizzix. The small bee die-cut is from the "Spring Things" Thinlits set by Sizzix.

I embellished the card with a piece of orange/white baker's twine.

Bee Happy Handmade Card

 

This handmade card features the retiring digital stamp "Baby Fairy Bee" designed by Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil.

I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and used a stencil to make the honeycomb pattern in the background.

The die-cut sentiment is from the "Bee Happy" Thinlits dies by Sizzix. The small bee die-cuts are from the "Spring Things" Thinlits dies by Sizzix.

I embellished the card with two small paper flowers with faux pearl centers.

Each day comes bearing its own gifts.

This handmade card features the digital stamp/sentiment "Serious Sharon" designed by Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. I embellished the card with some fancy die-cut corners and mounted it on the brown and blue background cardstock.

This is an excellent image to use on cards for more serious occasions such as illness and sympathy.

Let your light shine!

Isn't this the cutest little girl? She really has some attitude.

This will be the last summer-themed card that I make this year. I am anxious to start making cards for the fall/winter holidays.

This card features the digital stamp "Summer" designed by Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil.

This image was given to Ms. Manning's Bronte-level supporters on Patreon.

I printed the digital image on white cardstock and colored it with Copic Sketch markers. I die-cut the colored image and the background with Spellbinder's "Fancy Edged Ovals" dies.

The sentiment is from "Digital Phrase Collage Sheet 9" by Lisa's Altered Art on Etsy. The background paper is from the "Stitch in Time" scrapbook paper pad by Recollections. I embellished the card with some die-cut leaves and flowers.

July Girl Handmade Card

 


Enjoy being a kid!

This card will go to my granddaughter. The summer is flying by so I decided to share this card before the month of July is passed.

This card features the digital stamp "July Girl" designed by Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil. This image was given to Ms. Manning's supporters on Patreon. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and die-cut around the edges.

The sentiment is from Digital Phrase Collage Sheet 9 by LisasAlteredArt on Etsy. This is one of my favorite sentiment sheets.

I painted the colorful background with texture paste, Faber-Castell Gelatos, and a gold gell marker.

The Happy Gardener Handmade Card

 

The lady on this card is spreading happiness with her big smile and bouquet of flowers. This image really makes me smile!

I used the digital stamp "The Happy Gardener" designed by Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil. This is an exclusive image for Ms. Manning's Bronte level Patrons.

I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and die-cut it in an oval shape with a Spellbinders "Fancy Edged Ovals" die. I then made a green oval background with the same die set.

I used the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from "Flower Baby" image on Mo's Digital Pencil. The background paper is "Daisies Digital Paper" by DigitalNights on Etsy.

I embellished the card with a paper flower and die-cut leaves.

Smell the Flowers Birthday Card

Don't you love the expression on this man's face? I feel like am smelling the flowing right along with him. 

This handmade card features the digital stamp "Wrinkles" designed by Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil.

 The ground cover is the digital stamp "Daisies" that was also designed by Ms. Manning. Both of these images were available to supporters on Patreon.

I merged the images/sentiment with Microsoft Word. I then colored the images with Copic Sketch markers. I embellished the card with cloud die-cuts.

Little Tulip Fairy Handmade Card


 "You're never more than a thought away."

This handmade card features the digital stamp "Lil Fairy w Tulip" designed by Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil. This image was a freebie for Ms. Manning's Patreon supporters.

I printed the image on kraft cardstack and colored it with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils. 

The sentiment is from the Whimsical Words rubber stamp set by Stampin' Up.

I embellished the card with two corner die cuts and some pink enamel dots.

Handmade Special Delivery Garden Card

 


I made this card for Mother's Day, but it would be appropriate for many different occasions.

This card features the digital stamp "Delivery" from Maurie J. Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil. This image was a gift to Ms. Manning's Patreon supporters in March 2020.
The garden shed in the background is the digital stamp "Garden Shed BG" from Mo's Digital Pencil.
 The "Grow" sign on the shed and the potted plants in front of the shed are elements in the digital stamps "Potter's Corner (Separated)" from Mo's Digital Pencil. 

I colored the images on this card with Copic Sketch markers. I die-cut the clouds and grass and attached them to the card front. I then attached the completed design to a turquoise card base.

Handmade Prom Birthday Card

I made this card for my granddaughter's 18th birthday. It is hard to believe that she is all grown up. She will be attending her high school prom in a couple of weeks so I chose the digital stamp "Prom - Straight Hair Version" from Mo's Digital Pencil to feature on the front of the card.

I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. The blue background paper and the embellishments were made from a gelliprint that I made with acrylic paint.

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2021

 Happy St. Patrick's Day! If you are lucky enough to be Irish, you are lucky enough. Wishing you happiness and good luck on this special day.

This is the last in a series of three cards that I made for St. Patrick's Day. Each card featured a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil.

This card measures 5" by 6.5". The background paper is from the Tim Holtz Wallflower scrapbook paper pad. 

This cute little Leprechaun girl is the digital stamp Good Luck. The sentiment came with the digital stamp Paddy. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. I used a Sizzix die to cut out the image and sponged around the edges with some distress ink. I attached the sentiment to the top of the card and punched two butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch.

Come and Sit for a Spell Halloween Card

 


I love these big eyes! The girl and the kitty have matching blue eyes and they are waiting patiently for what Halloween brings.

This card features the digital stamp "Fay and Frank" from Mo's Digital Pencil. I printed the image on white cardstock and colored it with Copic Sketch markers. I die cut the image and mounted it on black cardstock.

The background cardstock is from the Tim Holtz Abandoned paper pack.

The finished card measures 5" by 6.5".

Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun Halloween Card


Halloween is just around the corner. I will be sharing some of my handmade Halloween cards over the next several days.

This card features the digital stamp "Ghost Girl" from Mo's Digital Pencil. The background is digital paper from the digital stamp "Crow's Roost." I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers.

I used the Martha Stewart border punch "Scary Fence" to make the fence at the bottom of the card.

The sentiment is from a Halloween Collage Sheet from Lisa's Altered Art on Etsy.

Handmade Pig Latin Card

I found this pig who speaks Pig Latin at Mo's Digital Pencil. The digital stamp/sentiment is named "Hello Pig". 

The base for this card is a light pink blank card that measures 5" by 6.5".

I merged the image and the sentiment with Microsoft Word. I also merged a hill for the pig to stand on. The hill image was an exclusive image for members of Maurie Manning's Patreon supporters. I printed the layout on white cardstock and colored the pig with Copic Sketch markers and Promarkers.

I used a piece of black cardstock for the background. I attached the die-cut "hello" above the pig's head. 

This clean and simple card would make a cute masculine birthday card. It is sure to put a smile on the recipient's face.

Big Eyes Handmade Card

I made this card to encourage the recipient during difficult times. The butterfly symbolizes the hope that is always available to those who seek it.

The base for this project is a blank kraft cardstock card that measures 5" by 6.5".

The background cardstock is from the Tim Holtz Abandoned paper pad. This paper was available at Michaels during the Halloween season in 2019. 

I chose the digital stamp "Woe is Fay" from Mo's Digital Pencil. I printed the image on white cardstock and colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. I die cut the image with a "Dotted Squares" die from Sizzix. I used a butterfly die from the "Floral Banner" set from Sizzix.

I assembled the card with double-sided tape. I used Artist-tac permanent dry adhesive to attach the butterfly.

Handmade Mermaid Meeya Birthday Card

A is a summer birthday card that I made this week. 

The base is a blank kraft cardstock card (Recollections)that measures 5" by 6 1/2". I bought several packages of these blank cards at Michaels during an after-Christmas clearance sale. There is a narrow red-striped edge around the border of the card.

I chose the digital stamp/sentiment "Meeya" from Mo's Digital Pencil to feature on the card. I used Microsoft Word to resize the image and merge the sentiment with the image. I printed the image on white cardstock and colored it with Copic Sketch markers. Please see the video below to see my coloring process.

I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the colored image/sentiment and attached it to the ocean digital paper designed by Mo Manning. I used a paper punch to make the waves along the top of the ocean patterned paper. I attached this to a piece of teal cardstock and then used double-sided tape to attach the card front to the blank card.

Let Love Grow Handmade Card

This card could be used for Valentine's Day, a spring birthday or just to let someone know you are thinking about them.

I used the digital stamp/image "Let Love Grow" from Mo's Digital Pencil. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers.
The background digital paper is from "Paris in My Heart Printable Journal Kit" by EphemerasGarden on Etsy.

The base is a blank kraft card that measures 5" by 7". I embellished the card with a piece of red baby rickrack trim.
