Clean and Simple Greeting Card Design

Less is more when it comes to clean and simple greeting cards.

Clean and simple is a design of card with clean lines, minimal elements, areas of white space with few or no embellishments.

I made this card for Mo's Clean and Simple Challenge.  This is how I made the card:

I started with a blank pre-made cream card that measures 4" by 5.5".

I used a Tim Holtz stencil and Distress Ink to stamp the background.

I used Mo's "Fall Kitten" digital stamp. I printed the image on craft cardstock and tinted it with Copic Sketch markers.

The sentiment is from "Clearly the Right Words" from Dylusions.

That's it! Clean and simple.

Cute And Cuddly Card Making Challenge

Happy Halloween!
I hope you all have a fun and festive day. I made this greeting card for Mo's Challenge #158 - Cute and Cuddly.  The theme of the card has to be cute and cuddly...babies, teddy bears, grandmas or grandpas, dolls....and KITTENS!

This is how I made the card;
(1.) I started with a blank kraft card that measures 4" by 5 1/2".
(2.) I layered a piece of pretty patterned paper on a piece of green cardstock.
(3.) I rounded the corners and used rubber cement to attach the background papers to the card.
(4.) I used the digital image "Fall Kitten" from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop. I colored the image with Copic sketch markers and then cut it out.
(5.) I glued the kitten to a large oak leaf from the "Fall Harvest" die cut set from K and Company.
(6.) I embellished the card with some additional die cuts (leaves, apple and acorn) from the Fall Harvest pack.

Make A Halloween Card

It is time to start planning for the holidays. The next three months will fly by and Halloween is just four weeks from now.

I made this card for "Mo's Challenge #155 - Anything Goes..." The only rule this week is to use an image from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop.




This is how I made the card:
(1.) I started with a blank black card that measures 5" by 6 1/2".
(2.) I took a piece of brown ribbon that features shiny fall leaves and stretched it across the top of the card. I wrapped it all the way around the back and front of the card and secured it with a glue dot on the back.
(3.) I chose this pumpkin die cut from the "Fall Harvest" pack by K & Company.
(4.) I used the digital stamp "Fall Kitten" from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and cut it out.
(5.) I used a Martha Stewart bat sticker that says "Trick or Treat" at the top of the card.
(6.) I made the fence with Martha Stewart's "Scary Fence" edge punch. I used another die cut from the "Fall Harvest" set for the oak leaf.

Gratitude

Next week is Thanksgiving. It is a time when we will count our blessings and express gratitude to God for all that he has provided.

I made this card to send Thanksgiving greetings to a special person in my life.

I am entering this card in Mo's Challenge this week. The theme of the challenge is vellum and/or acetate. I machine stitched a piece of vellum with gold horizontal stripes to a piece of patterned paper with vertical stripes.

I used the Fall Kitten digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop and colored it with Prismacolor pencils. I hand stamped the word "gratitude" on the side of the image.

I embellished the card with paper flowers and foil leaves.
