Let Heaven and Nature Sing

Each year I plan to make my Christmas cards before the holiday rush. I decided to celebrate "Christmas in July" with my first Christmas card of 2019.

The base of this card is a blank green cardstock card that measures 5" by 6.5" (Recollections from Michaels).

I chose the digital stamp/sentiment Bird Tree from Mo's Digital Pencil. I used Canva to merge the image and sentiment. I added the hill and two small trees from the Little House Elements that Maurie Manning gave her Patreon subscribers. I printed the design on white cardstock with my HP Photo Printer and Instant Ink.

I watercolored the birds on the tree with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I added shadows around the tree and on the ground with Copic Sketch markers.

I chose a clean and simple card design because I wanted to emphasize the sentiment on the card...Joy to the World, the Lord is Come!

Home Sweet Home Card

I made this card to celebrate my friends' home renovation and dedication after extensive flooding during Hurricane Harvey.

This is how I made the card;
I started with a blank kraft cardstock card that measures 5" by  6.5".

The background is "Blackbirds Digital Paper" from Mo's Digital Pencil. I printed this paper on my HP Envy Photo 7855 Printer. I use the HP Instant Ink program and love it!

The image/sentiment is "New Nest" from Mo's Digital Pencil. I printed the image on white cardstock and colored it with Copic Sketch Markers and Windsor and Newton Promarkers/Brushmarkers. 

I cut the image with a stitched rectangular die and framed it with goldenrod and black cardstock.

I cut the sentiment with a square die and framed it with black cardstock.

I finished the card by tying a piece of cord around it and making a bow. I secured the bow on the card with a glue dot.

Handmade Love Birds Card

My spring card making season is in full swing. I made this anniversary card yesterday for a special couple who will be celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary next week.

This is how I made the card:

1. I started with a blank kraft card that measures 5" by 6.5".

2. The pink background cardstock is from "Que Sera Sera" paper pack from K & Company. This is a double-sided cardstock and I used the reverse green side to diecut the circle.

3. I chose the digital stamp "Lovebirdz" from Mo's Digital Pencil for this card. I printed the image on white cardstock and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I love the vibrant colors that I get from these water-based markers. I fussy cut the image and used glue dots to attach it to the green background.

4. I used the Spellbinders die "Floral Corner 2" to make the embellishment under the green circle. The floral embellishment was cut from the same paper as the circle. 

5. I made the "Happy Anniversary" sentiment with a Dymo Label Buddy embossing label maker.

Home "Tweet" Home Handmade Card

I made this card for Mo's Challenge #124 ~ Anything Goes w/a Mo Image.
This is a very simple card with Mo's "Home 'Tweet' Home" digital image and dry embossing.

This is how I made the card;
(1.) The base is a pre-made kraft cardstock card from re-cycled paper. It measures 5" by 6.5".
(2.) I dry embossed the front of the card with one of the embossing folders from Cuddlebug's "Art Deco" set.
(3.) I colored the "Home 'Tweet' Home" digital image with Copic Sketch markers and colored a border around the image with a black marker.
(4.) I assembled the card with glue dots.

This was an extremely simple card but I think it is a great look for spring. I will be using this as a "thank you" card.
