Feed the Soul Handmade Card

"Bread feeds the body, but flowers feed the soul."

I chose this "Feed the Soul" digital stamp for my Mother's Day cards this year.

This is how I made the card:

Card base: A blank kraft card that measures 5" by 6.5".

I colored the digital image with Copic Sketch markers. I trimmed the image and mounted it on a piece of black cardstock.

The background patterned paper is from the Flower Digital Paper pack from Prettygrafikdesign on Etsy. I printed the paper on my HP Envy Photo printer using the HP Instant Ink program. The instant ink program is great for crafters. The printer automatically orders new cartridges when you are running low on ink.

I used a Spellbinders die to cut the floral embellishment. I used a dot of Ranger's Enamel Accents for the center of the flower.

Handmade "Mummu's Letter" Mothers Day Card

I want to wish everyone a very happy Mothers Day!

I made this card for my mother.

This is how I made the card:

I started with a blank cardstock card that measures 5" by 7".

The background paper is from "Heritage Post" Bitty Scrap Pad from Provo Craft (a Goodwill find).

I used "Mummu's Letter" from Mo's Digital Pencil as the focus point of the card. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. I it out with a Spellbinders die and then framed it with another die cut.

The sentiment sticker at the top of the card is from a Tim Holtz "Small Talk" pad.

I embellished the card with a white paper doily, some cream-colored vintage lace, two cloth roses and a red heart sticker.

I will enter this card in Mo's Challenge #251 "Anything Goes".

Thank you for taking a look at my card. Please share your thoughts in the Comments Section below.

Handmade Mothers Day Card

This Sunday is Mothers Day and it is time to get a card in the mail. My mother is an excellent cook so I made this card with the vintage stove image from Mo's Digital Pencil Store.

I have learned that handmade cards do not have to be perfect. The important thing is that they or unique, original and made with love!

I will enter this card in Mo's Challenge #158 - Anything Goes!

M Is for the Many things she gave me,
O Means only that she’s growing Old.
T Is for the Tears she shed to save me,
H Is for her Heart of purest gold.
E Is for her Eyes with love light shining,
R Means Right and Right she’ll always be.

Put them all together, They spell MOTHER.
A word that means the world to me.

Thank you for taking a look at my card.

Pink And Girlie

This week, the theme of Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #80 is "Pink & Girlie". I made this card to enter in this contest. The winner of the random drawing will win a free digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop.
I used the digital image "What's Cooking" on this card. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and a blender pen.
I embellished the card with flowers/lace, feau pearls and a punched cardstock button with a pink bow.
My mother is an excellent cook. She is 81 years old and still works as an substitute cook at the local senior citizen's center. I made this card for her Mother's Day card and I will get it in the mail tomorrow.
Happy Mother's Day ~ I love you, Mom!
