Hello Baby Fairy Bee Card

Click on the image to enlarge.
Happy first day of spring!

I made this card to celebrate the end of winter and the anticipation of warm, sunny days to come.

This is how I made the card:

I started with a blank kraft greeting card that measures 5" by 6 1/2".

I used the cover page from the Vintage Queen Bee printable journal kit from Ephemeras Garden on Etsy for my background design. I printed the page on white cardstock with my HP Envy Photo 7855 printer. I love the HP Instant Ink program!!!

I used the Baby Fairy Bee digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil. I printed the image on white cardstock and colored it with Promarkers and Copic Sketch markers. I love to mix and match my alcohol markers.

I mounted the color image on a die cut square and completed the card with a die cut "hello" sentiment.

I hope this card made smile. I will enter it in the following challenges;

Dairy Cow Spring Greeting Card

Spring is in the air! The grass is green, the flowers are blooming and the garden is planted.

This card celebrates spring with an image of a black-and-white dairy cow holding a bouquet of clover/hearts in her mouth.

I will enter this card in Mo's Challenge #262 for paper crafts.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

A blank kraft cardstock greeting card that measures 5" by 7".

The digital image "Moo" from Mo's Digital Pencil. I printed the image on a piece of brown kraft cardstock. I colored the cow with Prismacolor pencils and cut it out with a Spellbinders die.

I used a rub-on from my stash (Dear Lizzy + American Crafts) for the "sweet spring" sentiment.

I put a small heart brad in the lower corner. I then layered the background with pink, white and kraft cardstock. I finished the card with a piece of pink/white baker's twine.

Spring Card With Baby Fairy

Where did the warm weather go? I woke up this morning and got a real chill when I let the dogs out. It seems like winter is giving us one last blast.

This week the theme for Mo's Digital Challenge #181 is "Spring".

This is how I made the card:
(1.) I started with a blank pre-folded kraft card that measures 4" by 5 1/2".
(2.) I found this lovely double-sided patterned paper at Michael's on the Clearance Shelf (Imaginisce). One side is red and decorated with watermelon seeds and the other side is white and decorated with strawberries. I used both sides as the background for this card.
(3.) I used the same digital image that I used last week. This cute little baby fairy is from Mo's 3 Baby Fairies set. I colored the image with Copic sketch markers and cut it out with a Spellbinders die. I attached it to the card with foam squares.
(4.) I embellished the card with a "Celebrate" sentiment sticker, a vellum butterfly and two insect die cuts. All of these embellishments are from K & Co.
(5.) I used two red glitter swirls (Recollections) to hold the butterfly in place and add a little sparkle to the card.

This card could be used as a birthday card or just a reminder to CELEBRATE life and everything in it.

Handmade Spring Card With Buttons and Bows

Spring will arrive this week. I made this card for Mo's Challenge #126 - Buttons and Bows w/a Mo's Image.

This is how I made the card;
(1.) The base is a pre-made ivory card that measures 5" by 6.5". I dry embossed the front of the card with the Cuddlebug "Mary Ann" embossing folder.
(2.) I used the digital image "Chickies 2" from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop. I colored the image with Copic sketch markers and used a Spellbinders Nestabilities die to cut it out. I cut another scalloped rectangle out of lavender cardstock to put behind the image.
(3.) I embellished the card with a piece of polka dot ribbon, four vintage buttons and two hand-tied pink bows.
