I got out my colored pencils and colored this cute little fairy for Mo's "Things With Wings - Challenge #234" this week.
I used a Mo's digital image from the
3 Baby Fairies set. I printed the image on kraft cardstock and colored it with Prismacolor pencils. I highlighted the wings with silver Stickles glitter glue. I then cut and embossed it with a Spellbinders die.
The background paper is from a Ki Vintage Charm Paper Pad (Walmart).
I embellished the card with a pre-made vintage tag (Hobby Lobby Valentine Clearance), a piece of feathery fiber and a sentiment from Splash of Color (Hobby Lobby).

Handmade Clean and Simple Card
I made this card for Mo's Challenge #228 - Clean and Simple. A "clean and simple" card has a limited number of embellishments. This style works very well if you want to send the card through the US Postal Service.
The base is a 5" by 7" blank kraft card (Paper Studio). I get these blank cards in a Value Pack at Hobby Lobby when they are 50% off.
I was very lucky to find a big bag of Creative Memories mini scrapbooking kits with patterned paper and coordinated stickers at a yard sale. I used the "Cabana" set for the background of this card.
I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the ladybugs on each corner of the blue paper.
I chose the Ladybug Fairy digital stamp from the 3 Baby Fairies set at Mo's Digital Pencil. I colored the fairy with Copic Sketch markers and used Stickles glitter glue to highlight the wings.
I embellished the card with a "Love" jelly sticker from Me & My Big Ideas (I got a pack of 24 of these stickers for $0.49 at Goodwill.)

Spring Card With Baby Fairy
Where did the warm weather go? I woke up this morning and got a real chill when I let the dogs out. It seems like winter is giving us one last blast. This week the theme for Mo's Digital Challenge #181 is "Spring".
This is how I made the card:
(1.) I started with a blank pre-folded kraft card that measures 4" by 5 1/2".
(2.) I found this lovely double-sided patterned paper at Michael's on the Clearance Shelf (Imaginisce). One side is red and decorated with watermelon seeds and the other side is white and decorated with strawberries. I used both sides as the background for this card.
(3.) I used the same digital image that I used last week. This cute little baby fairy is from Mo's 3 Baby Fairies set. I colored the image with Copic sketch markers and cut it out with a Spellbinders die. I attached it to the card with foam squares.
(4.) I embellished the card with a "Celebrate" sentiment sticker, a vellum butterfly and two insect die cuts. All of these embellishments are from K & Co.
(5.) I used two red glitter swirls (Recollections) to hold the butterfly in place and add a little sparkle to the card.
This card could be used as a birthday card or just a reminder to CELEBRATE life and everything in it.

Mo's "Things With Wings" Card Challenge
This is the first time I have made a handmade card in several weeks. I will enter this card in "Mo's Challenge #180 - Things With Wings".
This is how I made the card;
(1.) I started with a blank kraft card that measures 4" by 5 1/2".
(2.) I used the Flowers border die from the Sizzix Dots, Flowers & Rick-Rack Set of embossing folders for the embossed flowers on the side of the card. I ran the card and die through my Cuddlebug machine. I rounded the corners on the right side of the card.
(3.) I chose a digital image from Mo's 3 Baby Fairies set. This set has some awesome images for Spring! I colored the image with Copic sketch markers and added highlights with a white gel pen.
(4.) I embellished the card with a felt cloud die cut from a Hobby Lobby Easter set, a "Smile" sentiment sticker from K & Co. and a pink glitter heart from Martha Stewart.
