Handmade Soulmates Wedding Card

Love is in the air!

I made this wedding card for a special pair of love birds who will be getting married in a couple of weeks.

These are the supplies I used to make this card:

A blank kraft cardstock greeting card that measures 5" by 7".

The love birds clear stamp from the "Best Wishes" set from Hero Arts. I stamped the birds on white cardstock and a second time on kraft cardstock. I cut out the bird's bodies from the white paper and glued them on the kraft paper. I colored the wings with Copic Sketch markers and used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.

For the background, I used a piece of cardstock from the Collage Art Stack paper pack from DCWV. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the corners.

I used the chipboard die cut "Soulmates" (from Momenta) at the bottom of the card.

I finished the card with distressed pink linen yarn tied with a knot.

A Is For....Anniversary Card

Love one another and you will be happy.  It's as simple and as difficult as that.  ~Michael Leunig

An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow.  ~Author Unknown

True love stories never have endings.  ~Richard Bach

You know the older the violin the sweeter the music. ~Curly Putman

I made this handmade card for a special couple who will be celebrating their wedding anniversary this week.

This is how I made the card:

1. I started with a blank kraft cardstock card that measure 5" by 7".

2. I punched the top edge of the card with a Martha Stewart "Loops" paper punch.

3. I chose the background paper from the "Lost & Found" paper pad by My Mind's Eye (2011).

4. I used the Love Birds clear stamp from the "Best Wishes" stamp set from Hero Arts (2013). I stamped the image on a piece of white cardstock and kraft cardstock. I then cut out the white bird bodies and attached them to the kraft cardstock.

5. I cut out the image on the kraft cardstock with a Spellbinders die. I then took a white gel pen and added some faux stitching around the edges.

6. I embellished the card with two stickers (Heart Words #30364) from Splash of Color.

I added a "Love" label that I made with my Dymo label maker.

I am entering this card in the following challenge:

Tim Holtz Mini Rays Greeting Card

This greeting card features the results of a Tim Holtz embossing folder that I purchased last week. The embossing folder "Mini Rays"
came in the "Sizzix BINGO Playing Games Set A2." This image was designed to fit an artist trading card but can also be used on a greeting card.

I started with a blank kraft card that measures 4" by 5 1/2".

I used a piece of patterned paper that features watermelon seeds (Imaginisce #003425) for the background. I used a "Loops" (Martha Stewart) Punch on the corners.

I used the "Mini Rays" embossing folder with a piece of kraft cardstock. I used my Cuddlebug embossing machine to emboss the paper.

I glued (Craft Bond Rubber Cement) the embossed cardstock to the background paper and embellished it with an "Explore" sticker from K & Co.

Thank you for taking a look at my card. I will enter this card in the "Emboss It Challenge" at 365 Cards.
