About the Author
MrsXNomore was born in the Midwest, then moved to NYC to pursue an acting career. At the age of 39, she met Captain X. After decades in a dysfunctional marriage, she realized she was living a nightmare. Reading all she could about psychopaths, she wrote her story to bring about psychopath awareness.
A Dream Life Turns Into A Nightmare
Her marriage to successful airline pilot Captain X seemed like a dream come true. In reality, it was a nightmare.
From the second they met, Captain X swept MrsXNomore off her feet, constantly showering her with gifts, flattery and attention. He never left her side unless he was working his scheduled flights.
During their marriage, Captain X had plunged them into serious debt and ruined her credit. She discovered he was a member of a secret brotherhood involving prostitution during their entire marriage. When she confronted him, he immediately filed for divorce, moved out of their family home and took their daughter with him. She was a now a victim of parental alienation.
Since experts estimate as many as 4% of people are psychopaths, a chapter titled Understanding & Avoiding Psychopaths helps readers recognize and avoid these untreatable social predators without conscience. A final chapter, Suggested Reading and Viewing, provides readers with resources to learn more about psychopathy.
My Thoughts
The author states that the purpose of this book is to educate people about the characteristics of a psychopath and the dangers involved in relationships with them. I think the author has done a considerable amount of research and has written about her personal experiences with clarity, explicitness and honesty. This book is an excellent resource for the mental illness of psychopathy and also the problem of parental alienation during a difficult divorce.
It is very unfortunate that there are predators in the world who seek out victims to prey on. This book was not an entertaining or pleasant book to read. Many ugly things happened during the author's 22 year marriage to a man she trusted with her home, finances and heart. She learned the hard way that this man was not worthy of her trust. Unfortunately, she lived many years in a state of confusion and depression before discovering the truth about her husband.
Education is the key to making wise choices when allowing new people to come into our lives. This book will educate you and make you think twice about the people in your inner circle. Recommended!

A Letter to Evan: An Average Dad's Journey of Discovery and Discernment Through Divorce
Author: Roy Page and Sarah Horton
Publisher: Lucid Books
Date: April 13, 2013
About the Author
Roy Page is CEO of Third Degree Advertising. His broad range of professional expertise includes brand development, strategic marketing, market analysis, and improving organizational success through effective communication. This is his first book.
Divorce Changes Everything
Roy Page was living a fairytale life. He had been married for almost 20 years to a woman he loved. He was blessed with two wonderful children, a successful business and financial status he never thought he could achieve.
Within two years, his father developed Alzheimer's Disease, his marriage failed and his business began to change and erode.
During this difficult time, Roy wrote his son a series of letters sharing his feelings, concerns and faith. He wrote about the difficult adjustments that everyone in his family had to make. Most importantly, he emphasized his love for his children and his desire to be the best father he could be.
My Thoughts
Men tend to keep their feelings bottled up. They like to be in control and don't want to admit they have problems dealing with life situations. Mr. Page did an excellent job describing his difficulties and explaining how he dealt with them.
The first priority in his life was to be a good father to his children. He shared how his Christian faith helped him move forward. He dealt with the guilt and sadness of being separated from his children and the fear that he would no longer have a close bond with them.
This book will inspire and motivate families in similar situations. Mr. Page has used these bad circumstances to grow and become a better father. He understands that the children's well-being should come before the parent's agendas.
This is truly a story of discovery and discernment. Recommended to all who are dealing with divorce and the problems that come with it.

Sensitivity 101 for the Heterosexual Male
, by Philip Nork, is the story about a boy named Phil. It is a heart-wrenching saga of a boy who is devastated by his parent's divorce. He often feels lost and alone. He is shy, withdrawn and has very little confidence in himself.
Nana, Phil's grandmother, is a caring and compassionate influence in his life. Phil feels like his grandmother is the only person who really understands him. When Nana dies, Phil withdraws into himself and really believes that God is punishing him. Phil is ten-years-old and has lost both his father and his grandmother. This book is about how he deals with these tremendous losses and grows into manhood with a better understanding about what is really important in life.
"People seem to arrive just when you need them, or when they need you. And the beauty is, sometimes even a small gesture can have a profound effect on you."
This book is a collection of stories about the girls and women that come into Phil's life. He learns lessons from these friendships and encounters that help him accept himself and move to a higher level of fulfillment and happiness. Phil has numerous sexual encounters and even ends up working as a gigolo for a period of time. Phil's goal in these encounters is to make the girls feel good...they are attracked to him like a magnet.
I was very impressed by the honesty and sensitivity used in writing this book. We all have choices to make in the process of growing up. The choices we make are not always the best, but we make them with good intention. The book ends with this thought, "You now know that you are accepted for who you are, so go...go...go and be happy."
