Thankful and Blessed Thanksgiving Card

Click on the image to enlarge.
This is one of the Thanksgiving cards I made this year. I feel extremely thankful and blessed - every day is a day to give thanks.

The base for this card is made of kraft cardstock and measures 5" by 7".

The background paper is from the Tim Holtz Wallflower 12" by 12" Paper Stash pad.

I chose the digital stamp "Prudence" from Mo's Digital Pencil to feature on this card. I printed the image on white cardstock and hand colored it with Copic Sketch markers and Promarkers. I die-cut the image with a rectangular die and mounted it on black cardstock.

The sentiment is from the "Thanksgiving Sentiments Printable Word Stickers" by GoneDigital on Etsy.

I embellished the card with a piece of vintage coffee-dyed yellow seam binding.

I will enter this card in the following challenges:
Artsystamper Digitals Challenge #4
Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #245
Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #285

Handmade "Give Thanks" Thanksgiving Card

I wish everyone a very blessed and safe Thanksgving.

I made the following handmade Thanksgiving cards for the Hand to Heart Ministry in my Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas.

I used the "Amity" digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil to make these cards. The sentiments "Give Thanks" and "Happy Thanksgiving" come with this image. I used Prismacolor Premiere colored pencils with Gamsol solvent to color the images. I enjoyed experimenting with the background shading using the colored pencils and Gamsol. The top card has a darker background, the middle card has a lighter background and the bottom card does not have any colored background. Please click on the pictures for more detailed views.

I chose three different kinds of patterned paper from my stash for the background and mounted the paper/colored image on a blank kraft card that measured 5" by 6 1/2".

I embellished the cards by tying a piece of ribbon along the sides.
