Happy Fathers Day!
I hope you are all having a blessed day. It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon in SE Texas. I think it is perfect weather for outdoor activities and family fun.
I made this Fathers Day card for my husband. He is a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He is also an avid golfer and loves to get out on the golf course.
I am entering this card in Mo's Challenge #139 - "At the Park w/Mo Image". This is how I made the card;
(1.) I started with an Avery blank white textured greeting card that measures 5 1/2" by 8 1/2".
(2.) The background cardstock is from Recollections "Stitch in Time" Paper Pad. This is a lovely park-like scene that combines the beauty of nature and hand stitching.
(3.) I used the digital stamp "Big Guy Golfing" from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop. I colored the image with Copic sketch markers. I cut it out and attached it to the background cardstock.
(4.) I used the Cuttlebug Embossed Tags embossing folder to make the tag from kraft cardstock. I used a rubber stamp for the sentiment. I embellished the top of the tag with a small button sticker.
(5.) I stamped and punched the butterflies from kraft cardstock with a Martha Stewart punch.

It is time for another one of Mo's Digital Challenges. This week the theme is "Anything BUT A Card!!" I decided to make a bookmark for my granddaughter. She will soon be starting 3rd grade and loves to read.
This is how I made this bookmark;
(1.) I started with a blank cream-colored book mark (with tassel) from The Paper Company. The bookmark measures 2 1/4" by 6". I lightly sponged some "Old Paper ~ Tim Holtz" distress ink around the edges of the bookmark.
(2.) I used blue/beige dotted patterned paper as the background. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the loops in the top.
(3.) I used the digital image "They Grow So Fast " from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop. This is a cute image of Jack and the Beanstalk. I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and markers. I sponged some "Tumbled Glass ~ Tim Holtz" distress ink on the background to look like the sky.
(4.) I embellished the card with the "Dreamer" and butterfly stickers from K and Co.
This project was fun to make. I hope it inspires my granddaughter to be a SUPER reader in school this year.
It is time for another card making challenge! The time just flies by when I am making cards. This week the name of the challenge is "Pearls and Flowers". Each card in this contest must be embellished with pearls and flowers. A winner will be chosen in a random drawing this evening. The lucky winner will receive a free digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop.
This is how I made the card;
(1.) The base card measures 4" X 5.5" and is made from kraft cardstock.
(2.) I chose the digital image "Wonderful Day" from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop.
(3.) I used Prismacolor pencils and a blender pen to color the image.
(4.) I framed the image with green and blue cardstock.
(5.) I used the "thinking of you" rub-on for the sentiment.
(6.) I used a Martha Stewart Punch (Loops) for the upper edge of the light blue cardstock.
(7.) I used Martha Stewart Punches to make the flower and leaves. I embellished the flower with a small faux pearl.

Spring is right around the corner. The trees are budding out and the grass is growing. We are getting ready to plant our spring garden. I made this Spring card for Mo's Challenge #71 ~ Spring Colors With Handmade Flower Embellishments.
This is how I made the card;
1. I used a pre-made light green cardstock blank card that measures 4" X 5 1/2".
2. The background paper is from "Spring Blossom Seed Packet Cardstock Pack" by K & Company.
3. I used "Chickies" digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop.
4. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and a blender pen. I sponged around the sides of the card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in a light blue color (Tumbled Glass). I then inked the edges of the image with "Tea Dye" Distress Ink.
5. I mounted the image on a piece of dark blue textured cardstock.
6. I made the flowers by using a large Martha Stewart Crysanthemum Punch. I punched the flower out of Bazzill "Cool Cantaloupe" cardstock and matching gingham patterned paper. I embellished the flowers with feau pearls.
7. I put the card together with scrapbooking tape and glue dots.
I searched through my collection of rubber stamps for a sentiment to use on the inside of this card. I decided on "Take Time To Enjoy Life's Little Pleasures."
